About Us

In 1898, Great Grandfather Mose Wise established a homestead in North Dakota just east of Minot. Our family still owns the original homestead.

The Wise family was blown out during the Depression and the Dust Bowl. They moved to Modesto in the late ‘20s.

Grandfather, W.B. Wise established the dairy here on Blue Gum Avenue in the Wood Colony area west of Modesto in the early ‘30s. An economical unit at the time was 20 cows and 20 acres.

W.B. Wise established Wise’s Meat Locker in 1948 to provide locker services to the local community. It is still in business today as Dave‘s Meats.

O.H. Flora planted the first block of almonds in our family in 1964 on Blue Gum Avenue. He raised a family on 20 acres of almonds.

The first bankout system was built in 1968 under the supervision of J.J. Flora to make the harvesting crews more efficient.

In 1968, J.J. Flora went to work for B.E. Lynch and Sons as a sophomore in high school harvesting almonds in the local community. He built the first self-unloading cart and bankout to be ran on a commercial basis.

We operated out of our garage on Blue Gum Avenue, building some of our first equipment and maintaining our existing harvesting fleet.

Converted an old OMC peach harvester to be one of the first side mount shakers to operate in almonds.

Golden Valley Ag, Inc. was established to provide farm management and other custom farming operations for our harvesting customers.

Golden Valley Harvesting introduced the first conditioner to the almond industry.

Exact Corp was established to provide innovative, durable, and environmentally friendly solutions to the tree nut industry. {Built by Farmers for Farmers}

The first sweeper in the industry with a berm brush was built and patented.

ECabs were introduced as specialty low profile orchard and vineyard cabs for John Deere tractors.

The E1000 was the first sweeper on the market with brushes and a closing head to reduce passes and dust during harvest.

The E4000 was the first low-dust harvester in the industry capable of matching current cleaning and ground speed standards while reducing dust by over 75%, setting a new standard for nut harvesters.

The E250 was introduced to the industry significantly improving farmers bottom line in almond and walnut harvest.

The E1155 took the place of the E1000 with a larger blower fan and a redesigned cab.

Exact vertically integrated to bring all manufacturing and powder coating in house at our Emerald Avenue facilities.

Exact opened a parts and service department in Visalia to better service the south valley of California.

The EForce Door is a designed and patented training prop for forcible entry training with the fire service and military.

The rugged E5000 self-propelled herbicide sprayer was introduced to meet the industry’s need

The E385 has changed the conditioning game. It is the first low dust conditioner on the market with full harvester cleaning and a large hopper to pull ends back.
